Fresher Looking Skin Means Exfoliating
Exfoliating is a process that removes the very top layer of what is on your skin. This layer can include grime, dead skin cells, and other things that make your skin look dull and unhealthy. Exfoliating removes this stuff to reveal a fresh, clear skin underneath. There are two ways to exfoliate: chemically or mechanically. That is, you can use a product that dissolves the top debris or you can use beads or even a gentle brush to reveal healthier, glowing skin.
Depending on the exfoliating products you use, you can exfoliate once a week or more often. There are even daily products, such as Dermalogica Daily Resurfacer and Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. Exfoliating products are definitely part of the arsenal you need for gorgeous skin, and this is not a product you want to scrimp on. Some inexpensive brands use harsh granules in their exfoliating products, which can be irritating and even damaging to your skin. If you have sensitive skin, especially, you will need to look for a product that increases cell turnover and gets rid of dead cells while still not irritating your skin. Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant, Dermalogica Skin Prep Scrub, Dermalogica Powerfoliant, and Phytomer Vegetal Exfoliant with Natural Enzymes are all good products to try.
